Outstanding views, beautiful stone architecture, peaceful retreat, manicured gardens … Chateau La Roque is an imposing 11th century monument overlooking the village of La Roque-sur-Pernes in the Luberon (Provence).

Ranked « Historical Heritage » by the association Vieilles Maisons Francaises, this castle was once owned by the Counts of Toulouse and later by the Popes of Avignon. In 2000, Chantal and Jean, passionate about art and architecture, have undertaken major renovations and turned the place into a luxurious timeless guesthouse, truly a corner of paradise in Provence!

The 5 rooms and suites with names reminiscent of the history of the place let our imagination run free. « The Lookout, » which was the room of the Ladies of this castle, « The Arches » with its tall mullioned windows, ribbed-vault ceilings and amazing view over the valley, « the Walkway » exceptional observatory of sunsets or « The Ventoux ».

In the belvedere gardens, a heated swimming pool with views over the Rhone Valley is an invitation to a world of relaxation and serenity. The gourmet table offers a local and organic cuisine. A concierge service is also available for guests.

As you will have realized, Chantal and Jean are the ambassadors of French hospitality, and they master the fine art of making a guest feel special. This is a place to discover during a weekend getaway, or a family party (the castle can by privatized).
